“We’ve never met Trina Bentley in person. And we’re not sure what it is about her—her smart, less-is-more, type-driven packaging and branding work, her Austin sensibility, her tenet that design should be simple, honest and human—but we’re keen to have a conversation with Bentley when she’s in Boston for The Dieline Conference, part of HOW Design Live 2014.” Read more HERE!
AIGA – Under the Radar
Completely thrilled to speak at AIGA’s new lecture series – Under the Radar. They have a fantastic line up of speakers and I’m honored to be a part of it. And frankly.. I’m just excited to be on anyone’s radar. For more information on the series, click HERE. Or join in the fun at Lewis Carnegie on November 19th. (I hear they serve up beer and tacos).
Essential Living Foods
Essential Living Foods is a California based superfoods company. We recently overhauled their package design which included various product lines and about 40+ different products. So fantastic to get to translate the design across so many formats. Here was the initial brand presentation we delivered.

Anish, founder of World Peas, brought his tasty wasabi pea snacks for us to brand. We wanted to convey a sense of something that was traveled & worldly, yet vibrant, fun, and attention getting. Here are a few options from the initial designs we presented. To see the final winner, check out the ‘WORK’ area on Make & Matter site.
Bernie’s Burger Bus
Just in time for July 4th, we developed a new package design for Bernie’s Burger Bus Ketchup. Below is the presentation we delivered and we are currently developing the full brand for this food truck/bus, catering operation & soon-to-be restaurant in downtown Houston. Pick up their tasty, small-batch ketchup (and Chipotle Aioli) in Kroger – it will be on shelves July 1st.
“The design is very grand & beautiful.”
The work done for Epic has received a few noteworthy mentions in the design blogosphere. The Dieline, and Design Work Life, have both profiled these awesome bars. Also, we launched their website – complete with product highlights, animal information and an online store.
I have been working with Moonshine over the past few months on some updating. We wanted to make the brand feel a bit more modern — but still maintain a southern charm and historic character. These new menus hit their tables a few weeks ago.
The dynamic duo, Katie and Taylor, came to us looking for a package and brand to fit their revolutionary 100% grass fed animal protein bars. We happily channeled our inner pioneer-person and lover-of-all-things-with-old-type and delivered the following package presentation…
We were completely thrilled when Style Me Pretty, reached out to us for their new logo design and some branding help. Here’s there new logo and some book covers.
The fine folks at Primizie came to us looking for a complete rebrand for their delicious line of crispbreads. We pulled together a presentation exploring a variety of typographic logos and bag designs. Below are some of our faves. Look out for another post on Primizie’s final pick, and be on the look out at Central Market and HEB for these guys to be hitting the shelves.
We just launched a new site for Los Angeles based PR company, Soda Pop. Here are a few of our favorite home page image panels. Check out the entire site here.
